Featured speaker: Patty Reynolds, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

Patty Reynolds has been a member and volunteer of NAMI – the National Alliance on Mental Illness – for 10-plus years. After becoming a victim of a violent crime in her home, she sought out therapy for PTSD. Her therapist suggested a support group and they found NAMI. It has been instrumental in her recovery. Patty founded the NAMI KC board of directors and served two years as board president. She has worked for The Missouri Division of Employment Security for the last 22 years doing social work. She and her husband have owned a home in midtown KC for the last 26 years. Patty also plays viola with the Independence Symphony. She is a passionate advocate for mental health and erasing the stigma of mental illness.
