Featured Speaker: Alex Autry, “Rural Gender: Transitioning in a Small Town”
Community Moment: Brian Seveland
Musical Guest: Jordan Thompson

Growing up is in large part about discovering your gender and finding a gender expression that works for you, in addition to learning how to navigate a culturally gendered world. Join Alex Autry as he talks about his gender journey, being raised female and transitioning to male in small-town Missouri.

About our featured speaker:
Alex Autry is a senior at Norborne High School, where he is involved in many academic and musical activities. Relevant to his talk, he came out as transgender during his junior year and has transitioned while still in high school. While he’s still shopping around for colleges, his current plans are to major in clinical psychology with the hope of becoming a therapist for LGBTQ teens.
