The third in her series on Islam, this talk focuses on who you should know in Islam today, as well as the rights of women and major topics at the forefront of our news media. Where did the ideology of Isis come from? Why does there appear to be a very strong vein of fundamentalism in Islam? What books should I read on the subject? Who should I be listening to? Why are women so oppressed in this religion? These are the questions Carrah receives over and over again in her talks. Thankfully, there are answers. By this third discussion, you will have a well-rounded, basic understanding of the religion of Islam and you will be able to quell debates at the local coffee shop and impress your friends with your knowledge!
