SUMMARY:KC Oasis Sunday Gathering — Featured speaker: Darrel Ray\, "Swipe Left or Swipe Right: Human Mating Patterns and the Future of Humanity"
DESCRIPTION:Musical guest: Danielle Ate the Sandwich (https://www.danielleatethesandwich.com/bio)\nFeatured speaker: Darrel Ray\, “Swipe Left or Swipe Right: Human Mating Patterns and the Future of Humanity” \nToday’s mating world is vastly different from what it was just 20 or 30 years ago. What is happening? Birthrates have plummeted around the world. Marriage rates have fallen even as divorce rates have skyrocketed. DNA testing often reveals that our beliefs about who our parents\, grandparents or children are may just be myths\, created to hide the truth about our family history and genetics. \nCouple this with such things as the 4B or the MGTOW movements\, the Red Pill\, OnlyFans\, and the plethora of dating apps\, and we get a glimpse of how difficult it is for humans to find partners with whom to have children and form families. \nWhat does this mean for U.S. culture\, global culture\, and the future of our species? These changes do not just affect younger people\, they affect who we are as parents\, grandparents and even those who do not have or intend to have children. These changes will impact the way we form communities\, families and friendships and is certainly impacting modern religions. \nParallel park in the neighborhood near our building or in the “free on Sundays” KU P2 parking garage two blocks west of our community center. Please reserve the small south parking lot for those who need the ramp to enter the building. \n*By participating in this event\, you agree to abide by the Oasis Code of Conduct (http://www.kcoasis.org/about-oasis/code-of-conduct/).
