Come and hear the story of Terrence Wise, a second-generation fast-food worker and one of the most important U.S. labor leaders in the 21st century. Terrence is a McDonald’s worker, father of three teenage girls, and a national leader in the Fight for $15 and a union movement of fast-food and low-wage workers organizing to ensure no one who works in America lives in poverty and are workers are treated equally and have a voice. Terrence has been profiled in the New York Times and by Diane Sawyer, introduced President Obama at the White House, and in February 2019 gave testimony to the. U.S. House to pass the Raise the Wage Act, which will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
