Featured speaker: Alyssa Carter, KCMO Angels – “Transforming Foster Care”

Alyssa Carter serves as program director at KCMO Angels, where she has been a guiding force for the past five years. She brings extensive experience in Missouri’s child welfare system, beginning in 2011 as an investigator responding to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline, followed by a decade assessing, training and overseeing licensure of foster and relative homes across the greater Kansas City area. Her deep understanding of the system informs her work at KCMO Angels, helping to build strong, trauma-informed programs and meaningful connections for youth and families.

KCMO Angels Mission Statement: To walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.
