Featured speaker: Art Lujin, TWA Museum
Art currently serves as a docent volunteer and as the STEM/Aviation Merit Badge Program Coordinator for the TWA Museum at 10 Richards Road in Kansas City, Missouri. He has served as a museum volunteer since 2013, and he developed and oversees the BSA Aviation Merit Badge program for the museum. Art also provides engineering support for the museum’s static aircraft display, and demonstrates and instructs visitors in the use of the museum’s aircraft simulators. Art served as the manager of aircraft engineering for Trans World Airlines from 1972 to 1997. His primary responsibility with TWA was to provide technical support in the areas of aircraft avionics and systems for all line, hangar and shop maintenance operations systemwide on the airline’s 200-plus Boeing 727/747/757/767, Lockheed L-1011 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9/MD-80 aircraft.
We have reserved Feb. 17 for a tour of the museum. Rates are as follows:
Adults: $10
Seniors ages 60+: $8
Youth ages 6-16: $7
Children ages 1-5: Free
