Featured speaker: David Rosman, “An Introduction to American Atheists”

David Rosman is an award-winning columnist, author, editor and professional speaker. He is a four-time winner of Best Columnist from the Missouri Press Foundation and a co-winner of a Webby Award for political writing.

In 1986, while talking to an assistance minister at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Denver concerning the definition of “Spirituality,” he was introduced to atheism. In 2004, after moving to Columbia, Missouri, he joined the Columbia Atheists and quickly became a co-leader of the group.

Today, as a board member of Columbia Atheists and as the state director, Missouri for the American Atheists, David remains a focal point for Missouri’s atheist communities.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration from St. Louis University (a story unto itself) and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Northern Colorado with emphasis in oral and business communication. He has over 25 years of experience teaching at various colleges and universities in Colorado and Missouri.
