Dominic Maschler grew up in Lee’s Summit, and took as many art classes as the school district would let him. Since then, he studied animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and has been working in the animation industry in Atlanta, Georgia, for the past 15 years. While he’s worked on everything from HGTV promos to corporate education videos, the work he’s most well-known for is the adult animated series ‘Archer’ on the FXX Network, and the new series on HULU, ‘Marvel’s Hit-Monkey.” The process of animating modern cartoons is quite different from the days of classic Disney feature films. Dominic will give a behind-the-scenes look at how animation happens, and what his role as a ‘compositor’ adds to animation, as well as how a local company, Trinity Animation, helps out the process!
