Architect Homer L. Williams, owner of the Bott House by Frank Lloyd Wright, will share the history, uniqueness and challenges of the Bott House. The predominant aspect of the home is the view of the downtown Kansas City skyline and Missouri River below. With three levels, the house makes extensive use of field stone, which is placed in the desert style, similar to Taliesin West. The roof is designed with horizontal ridge lines. Additional bedrooms are on a lower floor while the master suite is on the first. Mahogany wood is exclusively used throughout the house, along with desert red concrete floors on the upper level. It is one of the later Wright-designed houses, and still contains all of the original furniture.
NOTE: A tour of the Bott House has been scheduled for 2:30 at a discounted rate of $25/person. Tour sign-up will be posted soon.
