Julie Burton gives comic relief to moms, wives, and women around the world with her blunt, real-life stories on her popular Instagram and Twitter accounts, @ksujulie. Julie has built her personal brand to include over 122K organic followers on social media while being voted Best Twitter and Best Instagram in KC by The Pitch in 2022-2023. She is also a contributing author to the humor books, “But Did You Die? Setting the Parenting Bar Low,” by A Bunch of Know-It-Alls, and “Will Work for Apples” by the Teacher’s Pets.
Professionally, Julie is the senior content writer for CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Julie brings her passion for storytelling to CommunityAmerica along with 10+ years of writing and content creation experience. Julie embodies the voice of CommunityAmerica and manages their content strategy.
Julie is a born and raised Kansas Citian and a mom of two teenage daughters. You can find her running around her neighborhood, Downtown Overland Park, or showing off the greater Kansas City area to the world on her social media accounts. She’s also one of the funniest women in Kansas City. No, really — Good Morning America, The Today Show, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, City Lifestyle magazine, and The Pitch KC say so. Her daughters do not think she’s cool.
