Know Before You Go

All volunteers must complete Harvesters’ liability waiver before their shift begins.

You will be serving in the Volunteer Engagement Center warehouse.

All volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes with their entire feet covered.

The temperature in the warehouse can be a bit unpredictable, so dress comfortably in layers.

Please leave all jewelry and valuables at home. Lockers are available onsite, but we do not provide locks.

Please ensure you are healthy and free of any contagious illnesses.

All youth volunteers between the ages of 12-15 years old must be supervised while visiting our facilities according to our chaperone guidelines on page 14 of our Volunteer Handbook.

All volunteers are encouraged to view our 2-minute Food Safety Do’s and Don’ts With Harvey prior to their arrival.

Arrival and Parking
Plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your shift start time. Parking is limited, and we suggest carpooling when possible. Visitor parking is available in front of the building and in an overflow lot across the street. If spots fill, please limit street parking to the east side (closest to the building). Please enter through the Volunteer Entrance (under the red awning).

What to Expect
When you arrive, you will sign-in on the tablets provided in the volunteer break room or on your mobile device.

Restrooms, water fountains, and vending machines will be available to you.

A Harvesters team member will greet you upon arrival and provide an orientation to the facility and volunteer project. All training is provided on-site, and a staff member will be available throughout your shift to answer any questions.
