About the feautred talk:
After being raised evangelical and completing a degree in ministry, Sergio walked away from the faith and spent many years as an atheist. Longing for a spiritual practice that would not compromise his intellectual convictions, he eventually found his way to Buddhism. As he tells his story, he focuses on five books that served as mileposts on the journey from belief to disbelief…and back.

About the featured speaker:
Sergio Moreno is a member of the Rime Buddhist Center, where he teaches meditation and the twelve-week Basics of Buddhism class. He is also an Editorial Director at Hallmark Cards, where he was the recipient of the 2014 Barbara Marshall Award for creative employees, which granted him a 6-month sabbatical to pursue his personal project – “Stories of Devotion” – in which he explored religious and spiritual traditions in America today. He spent time traveling, interviewing people of different faiths, visiting places of worship, collecting stories and engaging in interfaith dialogue along the way.
