Good acting matters when it comes to telling deeply moving stories about fellow humans. Acting is one of the most misunderstood art forms. This talk is about demystifying what goes into the craft of acting and how an actor creates a role. At its ultimate meaning, acting is about empathy. Therefore, this art form has much to teach us about how to exist in the world with those who might be different from us or who might behave differently. Knowledge of acting can lead to a better understanding of humanity and a greater appreciation for the arts in general.

Carrah Q is a Spiritual trainer, yoga teacher, lipstick aficionado, meditation instructor and religious educator. She holds a master’s degree, with distinction, in philosophy/ecumenics from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and a BA in religious studies from University of Arizona.
