Sunday Gathering: David McAfee—Why We Should Teach Religion to Children

We are thrilled to host David McAfee, author of ‘The Belief Book,’ to talk about the book as well as his background. He is also the author of well-known books in the secular community, such as: ‘Mom, Dad, I’m an Atheist’ and ‘Disproving Christianity.’

About the speaker:

David G. McAfee is a Religious Studies graduate, a journalist, and author of The Belief Book, a children’s book explaining the origins of beliefs and religion, among other titles. He is also an editor for Ockham Publishing and a contributor to American Atheist Magazine. McAfee attended University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduated with bachelor’s degrees in English and Religious Studies with an emphasis on Christianity and Mediterranean religions.

Doors open at 10:30 am for coffee and conversation.
Sunday Gathering begins at 11 am.
