Cheryl A. Kulp has over 40 years of experience in education and has taught elementary, secondary, and college-level students. She has been a regular classroom teacher, a curriculum support specialist and a consulting teacher. Raised on a farm in central Kansas, she earned her Bachelor of Secondary Education from Fort Hays State and started teaching at Salina High School. Her experience with special education began in 1975 as the parent of a special needs child, which led her to get her Bachelor of Elementary Education and Master of Special Education from Washburn University and eventually to study Special Education Administration at Kansas State University. She finally allowed her teacher’s certificate to expire after her third retirement from Topeka 501 as a consulting teacher.
