Sunday Gathering: “Life After Conversion Therapy”

Conversion Therapy is currently banned in 16 states and many states, including Missouri, have pending legislation to bring a ban to this discredited practice. Conversion Therapy is an attempt to change sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity and is often aligned with religious practices. Zachary will share his experiences with conversion therapy and the abuse that was endured during in hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of the long-lasting effects that a survivor faces after conversion therapy.

About the speaker:
Zachary Mallory is an LGBTQ+ advocate focused on mental health and suicide prevention. Zachary is a suicide attempt survivor and a survivor of conversion therapy. He is a former Human Rights Campaign National Youth Ambassador and is dedicated to raising awareness of the issues in the LGBTQ+ community.

Doors open at 10:30 am for coffee and conversation.
