“Secular Miracles”
The holiday season belongs to all of us, free thinkers and
non-believers as much as anyone else. Miracle is a word for what happens in the human heart, when it is opened and transformed, not for a special category of things that happen in the world. Consider the stories that have grown up in our culture about Christmas. Anything can be a miracle, any event at all, if it brings about a transformation in love.
