Darrel will talk about some of his experiences, how they shaped his philosophy of activism, and how you can incorporate activism into your life for the betterment of others and your own mental health.

About the speaker:
Dr. Darrel W. Ray is author of “The God Virus: How Religion Infects Our Lives and Culture” and “Sex and God: How Religion Distorts Sexuality,” and is host of the Secular Sexuality podcast. He is also the founder and president of Recovering from Religion and director of the Secular Therapy Project. A psychologist for over 35 years and student of religion, he holds an MA in religion, a BA in sociology/anthropology and a doctorate in psychology. His activism runs the gamut, from protesting the Vietnam War and Apartheid at age 16, to working for civil rights and challenging religious dogma and privilege.
