Uzazi Village is a nonprofit organization devoted to decreasing health disparities in the urban core of Kansas City by decreasing prematurity, the leading cause of death for African-American infants, through education, support, and innovative care delivery models. Along the way, they hope to increase the quality of life for moms, babies, and families residing in the urban core and increase awareness and promotion of healthy lifestyles and empowering lifestyle choices.
