Kansas City Oasis is spreading the word about our secular community! Join us for our inaugural participation in the Lenexa Community Days parade. This is a significant event that draws thousands of people. We’ll carry an Oasis banner and wear Oasis values T-shirts while passing out flyers and candy. It’s over by noon so you’ll be free for cookouts and fireworks later in the day. Bring your chair, snack, and beverage. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 with skydiving before. Both are based at Longview Lake which is about 3 miles away as the crow flies. You also have a great view of the fireworks in the south part of the city. No fireworks are allowed on our property since they are illegal in Kansas City.
