    Musical guest: Tracey Myers (https://www.instagram.com/traceymyersmusic/) Community Moment: Ron Ruhnke Featured speaker: Andy Boyd, "Glacial Flooding, Human Evolution, and Climate Change" From 15 to 12 thousand years ago – a mere blip in geological time – flooding from the last glacial ice age inundated the interior of Washington State and northern Oregon. After setting the stage with a brief discussion of human evolution, we look at the devastation caused by the floods and make some observations about climate change.   • KC Oasis Volunteers at Scraps KC

    Scraps KC 3269 Roanoke Road, Kansas City, MO

    Volunteer with fellow Oasians at Scraps KC! Their mission is to get used or excess art supplies and materials to artists, teachers, makers, and scouts who can use them. They've diverted over 300 tons of material from landfills. We'll be volunteering in their warehouse doing donation processing and pricing, getting materials like paper clips and paint brushes ready to go out into the Teacher Resource Center or the Creative Reuse Center store. They ask that all volunteers wear modest clothing for the season and closed-toed shoes. Their warehouse is not temperature regulated, so dressing in layers is highly recommended. You...
